“ May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be an
acceptable offering in your sight, Oh Lord, my strength and my redeemer.”
I have been thinking about a couple of things this week. They are
scholarship and identity. The scholarship thing seems clear enough. School
is starting for students and teachers. In one of those interesting scholarship
facts in the news, Rick Perry has been in the news and it turns out his grades
at Texas A&M were lower that GW Bush’s at Yale. I claim that most of the
people laughing about this are glad no one has access to their transcripts.
